Seoul education system begins with basic education at elementary schools. The elementary schools are meant for children belonging to the age group of 6 to 11 years. After the completion of elementary level of education, one enters the c. It
is meant for those falling between the age group of 12 and 14 years. The next stage is high school education. Children belonging to the age of 15 to 17 years are entitled to these schools.

After the completion of school education in Seoul, a student goes to university for further studies. There are approximately 512 elementary schools, 352 middle schools and 273 high schools in Seoul. Besides, there are about 15 junior colleges and 36 universities in the city.

Korean National University of Arts

Korean National University of Arts is also abbreviated as the KNUA. It was established in 1992 by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in South Korea. Seoul Foreign School

Seoul Foreign School (SFS) provides a western style of education to the international students with a great deal of emphasis on the values of Christianity. It was established in 1912 by Mrs. Charles S. Deming of the Methodist Mission. The school is situated at Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu. The school has the accreditation of Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Seoul Foreign School of Korea is a member of the following associations:

Ewha Women's University

Establishment of Ewha Women's University in South Korea was a pioneering move. Missionaries in Korea were the initiators of women's education in the country.
