A majority of the population of Seoul are Koreans. According to the data of 2007, Seoul demography features a population that has crossed 10,421,000. It was 10,356,000 in 2006. Thus the population in Seoul has increased by 0.63% from 2006. A small section of the people of Seoul belongs to the Japanese and Chinese community. There are some Vietnamese and Indians too in the city.
About an approximate of 2.2% of the Seoul Korea population are foreigners. Christianity and Buddhism are the two major religions that are followed by the Seoul population. Besides, some others follow Confucianism and Shamanism.
