Erected over River Neva, the Trinity Bridge is one of the permanent bridges of Saint Petersburg city. The Trinity Bridge was constructed in the year of 1903 on the basis of modern technological support.
Planned Design of Trinity Bridge
The Trinity Bridge had been designed by the French architectural firm of Batinol, way back in the year of 1892. A unique feature of the Trinity Bridge is that it is a five sided symmetrical bridge that provides access to several important places of Saint Petersburg.
The architecture of the bridge includes double handle on left front of the bridge and a single handle on the right front of the bridge. The Trinity Bridge is further supported by three metal joints in the middle portion of the
bridge. The granite icebreaker ridge is submerged from the bridge beneath the water of Neva River. The ridge provides support to the bridge when the base of the bridge is lifted to allow safe passage of high vessels.
