The Yusupov Palace in Saint Petersburg is a Rococo Style edifice, located at 190000, Naberezhnaya Reki Moyki 94. This palace has become a favorite place among tourists to Saint Petersburg because of the historical accounts of the murder of Grigory Rastputin associated with this palace. The Yusupov Palace was owned by the Yusupov family.
Description of the Yusupov Palace Architecture
Giacomo Quarenghi, a renowned Italian had designed the interiors and exteriors of the palace. During the later renovation works, JB Vallen Delamonte reworked on the architecture of the Yusupov Palace. The palace house large chambers and hall and the décor of these rooms have remained as they were in the time of renovation.

The dining room of oak finishing, the chamber used by Henry II, and musical chambers are some of the most spectacular rooms of the palace. Visitors should also take notice of the marble staircase, which leads to the private theater in Yusupov palace. The staircase had been imported from a European palace, which the Yusupov had bought in order to own the staircase.
The palace has large collections of paintings and murals by well known artists of the time. Other exhibits of the palace include silk clothing, fine furniture, sculptures, huge mirrors, and gilded chandeliers. Regular shows are held in the palace complex to show the life and the circumstances leading to the death of Grigory Rastputin.
Visiting the Yusupov Palace
The Yusupov Palace can be viewed by tourists starting from 1l:10 am, but special permission is required to enter the palace. Four guided tours are arranged in a day, the last one starting at 3:10 pm. Group trips must be booked in advance.
