Moscow Victory Park is a well known attraction in St. Petersburg. It was established in the year 1945 to commemorate the Allied victory over Nazi Germany during the Second World War. This beautiful landscaped park is situated on Moskovsky Prospect, in the southern part of St. Petersburg, Russia.
Features of Moscow Victory Park
The park covers an area of 68 hectares. The park is embellished with a variety of trees and bushes. The ponds, flower garden, avenues and canals have helped to enhance the natural beauty of the park. There are bronze figures lining the avenue. These figures are the heroes who had been awarded with the titles of Hero of Socialist Labor and Hero of the Soviet Union.
There is also a statue of the commander of Leningrad Front, Marshal Georgy Zhukov in this park. There are

two figures standing in the main pavilion in the front portion of the park, ‘The Front” and “The Rear”. In the year 1986, to honor the World War II victims, a cross was erected in the brick factory where the dead bodies were burned.
Moscow Victory Park Myth
According to legends, the visitors to the park are confronted with strange events and situations. Some say, they fall sick, choked, short of breath and even faint. But some believe that as the deads were not properly buried, the ghosts probably haunt those people visiting the park.
