Kino Expo International Convention and Trade Fair is a film festival that offers the residents of Saint Petersburg to view films and documentaries of different countries. The festival was held in the city of Saint Petersburg for the first four years, after which the venue had changed for two years. However, since 2006, the festival venue was again shifted to Saint Petersburg.
In Saint Petersburg, the present venue of holding the Kino Expo International Convention and Trade Fair is the LenExpo exhibition center. The place is very well equipped with screens, exhibition halls, conferencing halls, auditoriums and all necessary arrangements to hold international film festival. The Kino Expo International Convention and Trade Fair has been undergoing steady growth and development. About forty percent of the participating film companies are foreign companies. The USSR countries, which have participated in the Kino Expo International Convention and Trade Fair include Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbeijan, Georgia, Latvia, Estonia and Lituania, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Many of the Middle Eastern countries too have participated regularly in this famous film festival of Saint Petersburg.
