Popularly known as the Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood, the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was designed by architect Alfred Parland on the lines of the 16th and 17th century Churches of Russia.
The prominent religious organization of Saint Petersburg, the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ came to be known by this name, as Alexander II was severely injured on the 1st of March in 1881 in an attempt to murder.
