St. Petersburg Bridges

St. Petersburg, the second largest city of Russia is built along River Neva's delta toward the mouth of the Gulf of Finland. To ensure good communication network between the islands, more than 400 St. Petersburg bridges exist. These bridges have been built across the River Neva tributaries and other rivers and canals of St. Petersburg.

The bridges of St. Petersburg open according to the scheduled timings. The river is not frozen during the months in summer. So at night the bridges are raised allowing the boats and ships to pass under them. From the month of May to the end of October, these bridges open according to specific timings.
