Alexander Pushkin Museum and Memorial Apartment is located beside the embankment built by the River Moika in Saint Petersburg. The museum lies very near to the Nevsky Prospekt and the Palace Square.

Alexander Pushkin lived in the apartment during 1836 to 37 which later was transformed to the Alexander Pushkin Museum after he succumbed to his fatal

wounds from a duel. This apartment initially belonged to the Volkonskies. In 1720 this building was constructed and it was renovated in later years.
