Lisbon Weather


Lisbon weather can be referred to as mild and temperate. The winter season in Lisbon is short and during this period the sunshine hours shrink to nearly 5 hrs during the month of January. Compared to winters, the summer season is long, spanning between the months of May and October. The temperature rises to a maximum of nearly 28 Celsius or 84 Fahrenheit.

During winter season, the temperature rarely falls to freezing point. December and January are the coldest months in the city. Lisbon weather is influenced by its location beside the River Tejo, which cools the temperatures and results in the formation of mists.

The sunshine hours are long in Lisbon, especially during the month of July. The month experiences 11 long hours of sunshine. The rainy season in Lisbon spans between December and March.
