The Carlucci American International School Lisbon (CAISL) was established in 1956 in the capital city of Lisbon. The school was established to offer an educational program based on American curriculum for the children of US military official, diplomats, Americans and Portuguese businessmen who reside in Lisbon.

A Board of Trustees sponsor the working CAISL. The Board of Trustees is composed of the Grupo Espirito Santo, American Embassy and Visteon Portuguesa. It is recognized legally as a Portuguese Foundation and functions under the legislative act that has been approved by the Portuguese Ministry of Education. The School has received accredit ion from the International Baccalaureate Organization, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Portuguese Ministry of Education, and the European Council of International Schools.

the institutions of USA, Portugal, and UK for higher studies. IB Diploma Program and IB certificates are awarded to the students. They can also appear for AP examinations in calculus, American history, chemistry, art, French, biology, modern European history,and English literature.
For the overall development of the child, CAISL encourages children to participate in some extra-curricular activities like drama, photo clubs, computer clubs, Model UN, yearbook, musical and drama groups. There are many school teams in different sports like track and field, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Several sport competitions are held annually with other local schools and international schools. Children studying in the grades between 10-12, can become the members of the National Honor Society.
The Carlucci American International School Lisbon provides diverse facilities to the children. There are three interlinked buildings, which houses playgrounds, library/media center, 2 computer labs, a gymnasium, 3 science labs, a soccer field and a multipurpose court.
