Manufaktura, Lodz is a famous shopping-mall complex of the city developed by Apsys Group. It was inaugurated on 17th May, 2006. Spread over a floor area of 150,000 sq m, it is the largest shopping center of Poland. Apart from wide range of shops, this shopping complex also has a fifteen screen cinema, fitness center, skating rink and an artificial climbing wall. A scene of 'Inland Empire' of Director David Lynch was taken in this shopping complex.
About a total of 200 million Euros were used in the construction of Manufaktura of Lodz. The wooden flooring and the 19th century brick building styled complex add to the beauty of the mall. This shopping complex is open from 10 am to 10 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 9 pm on Sundays. It is surrounded by Drewnowska, Zachodnia, Karskiego and Ogrodowa Streets.

The longest fountain of Europe can be located at the main square called Rynek that looks awesome when lighted up at night. There is an aquarium that consists of 32 tanks with various forms of marine life in it. The leisure complex is a recent addition that possesses 28 bowling lanes. The visitors can also avail the facility of parking their cars.
There is a playing area for children called 'Kinderplaneta'. There is a museum too in the building that stands next to the cinema hall. It has some machineries and pictures of the textile factory that earlier stood on the site of the market complex.
