Joseph Rotblat


Joseph Rotblat was a great physicist and nuclear scientist. He was born on 4th November, 1908 in Lodz, Poland. He completed M.A. from Free University of Poland in 1932. In 1938, Joseph Rotblat of Lodz completed the degree of Doctor of Physics from University of Warsaw. In 1950, he finished the Ph. D from University of Liverpool.

Joseph Rotblat was a very noble and humble person. He had the belief that future of humankind and science are joined inextricably. Throughout his life, Rotblat devotedly worked in the field of science and approved
its inestimable benefits to civilization.

In 1953, he completed DSc from University of London. The renowned physicist was the professor of University of Edinburg from 1975 to 1976 and from 1977 to 1978 he was professor at Universuty of Penang in Malaysia. Joseph Rotblat, Lodz, was also in the management group of World Health Organization.

He received Noble Peace Prize in 1995 and in 1998 he received the title of Knighthood. Joseph Rotblat has more than 300 publications to his credit.
