Izabella Miko


Izabella Miko is a Polish born model and actress. The actress, whose full name is Izabella Anna Mikolajczak, was born on 21st January, 1981 in Lodz. Aleksander Miko?ajczak and Gra?yna Dyl?g, both of whom were former actors, are Izabella's parents.

Early days of Izabella Miko

Izabella spent her early days in the Polish capital of Warsaw. There she studied at National Ballet School to become a ballet dancer. When she was 15 years old, she went to New York City along with her mother for perusing higher studies at School of American Ballet. But unfortunately, she could not continue her career as a ballet dancer because of ankle and knee injuries.

Career of Izabella

After Izabella returned to Poland at the age of 16 yrs, she received the offer to act in TV movie, "Lithuania You're My Motherland". After this, she again went to America to brush up her acting skills in the middle of 1990's.

She made her debut in Hollywood in 2000 in the movie "Coyote Ugly", directed by David McNally. In the movie, she played the role of "Cammie". The movie gained
sufficient popularity and the actress became a star. Izabella was featured in popular magazines and her face started coming on the billboards.

After "Coyote Ugly", she acted in the horror movie "The Forsaken". She acted along with Brendan Fehr and Kerr Smith in this movie. In 2002, Izabella starred in "Minimal Knowledge" directed by Gregory J. Corrado. She took a break after "Minimal Knowledge".

Return of Izabella Miko

Izabella made her comeback in the Hollywood arena with making debut in television in the year 2005. She acted in "Deadwood", which was a HBO western series and played the role of Carrie. In the same year, she acted in the drama film titled "Bye Bye Blackbird". In this drama film, she played the role of a circus trapeze artist.
