Lodz Demography

According to the data of December, 2005, Lodz population stands at 767,628. It is the second largest city of Poland and the capital city of Lodz Voivodeship. Lodz demography accounts for 30% of the total population of Lodz Voivodeship (as per the data of 2003). About 46% of the urban population of Lodz Voivodeship lives in the city of Lodz.

Lodz recorded the highest ratio of women per 100 men of the country of Poland. This place also recorded the lowest ratio of live births per 1000 population. The ratio of the number of deaths per 1000 population was recorded at 13.8% in 2003. The ratio of net international migrations for permanent residence per 1000 population was also recorded to be high in the same year.
