Manila Climate
Manila weather is characterized by hot and humid climate throughout the year. Manila falls in the tropical zone and so experiences a tropical climate. However, winds blowing from the sea bring respite to the people living in the city. Manila is covered by hills on the eastern and the western side. The eastern side is covered by the Eastern Cordillera while the western side is protected by the mountains of the Bataan Peninsula. The mountains of the Bataan Peninsula stand on the western part of the Manila Bay. Two seasons dominate the Manila weather. They are the wet and the dry season. The dry season lasts from December to May while the wet season prevails from June to November. During the dry season, the weather remains cool and breezy. January is recorded as the coolest month with temperatures falling to 25.5° Celsius. May is recorded as the hottest month with the temperature shooting up to 28° Celsius. The rainy season continues from June to October. However, typhoons occur between the months of May and November.
