Manila Times is English daily and is the oldest among the Manila newspapers. The paper is published in English by the Manila Times Publishing Corporation. The office of the newspapers is located at 371 A. Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila. Fred de la Rosa is the chief editor and the publisher of Manila Times.
History of the paper
This English language daily came into existence in the year 1898 on 11th October and is the fourth circulated daily in Philippines. The
first three newspapers enjoying substantial readership are the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star and the Manila Bulletin.

The maiden issue of the paper consisted of four pages. The editorial column features on the page two of the newspaper while announcements and advertisements feature on the first page of the paper. The page 3 of the newspaper contained United States and European news articles on Spanish American War.
The newspaper house of the Manila Times was burnt down in 1928. Until then the official slogan of the paper was “Pioneer American Daily in the Far East”. Before Manila Times came into existence, various regional papers dominated the region. Presently, the newspaper also has a website, which offers on line news services to the browsers.
