Manila Sports Car Club

As the name of the club indicates, the Manila Sports Car Club is a unique non-profit organization that is solely dedicated to sports cars. The club is also responsible for preservation of various kinds of sports cars. The
club originally dealt only with vintage sports cars, but with passage of time, they also developed interest in other types of sports cars. Modern two-seater sports cars can also be seen in the Manila Sports Car Club.

Sports Car Club Manila has an interesting history. It is believed that the club was established in 1967 in the University of Philippines in Diliman. Three people were involved in the founding of the sports car club. They are Amado Castro, Andy Sta. Maria and Rolf Kleindienst. Castro was made the first President of this famous sports car club. The club gradually grew with time. However in 1982, the first reincarnation of the club took place. After that many sports cars became a part of the Manila Sports Car Club.

There are many events that are hosted by the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC). The PK Runs and the Annual Bow-Tie Dinner are the most popular events that are hosted by the club. Apart from these events, the members of the MSCC make it mandatory to meet on the first Sunday of each month at a cafe in the new Rockwell Center. The club also organizes many vintage car rallies, tarmac rallies and other events that are related to sports cars.
