Manila Science High School was established on 1st October, 1963. It is also known as Ma Sci among students. The school was located in Intramuros and was shifted to its present location in Manila City after five years of its establishment. The principal of the school, Augusto Alzona, is known as “Father of Manila Science High School”. The school is affiliated to Divisions of City Schools-Manila.
