Metro Manila Film Festival began its journey in 1975. This festival is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm. During this festival, only the local movies are shown all across Philippines. The film festival of Manila starts on 25th of December and continues till the first week of January.

She has been the winner of this category seven times. Christopher De Leon is the most awarded actor who has also won it seven times.
