Manila International School is a private and non-profit educational institution. The school was established in the year 1920. It is a co-educational institution committed to impart quality education to the students. Since 19th June, 1975, the school is licensed under the Philippine Department of Education and Culture (DECS). The International School Manila strives to impart a complete education that is perfectly suited to enable the students to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) first gave accreditation to the International School Manila.
About the International School Manila
The Manila International School is run by a Board of Trustees. The trustee board comprises 10 members, who are duly elected by the parents of the students. The trustee members are elected for a term of 3 years. The school is spread over a land area of 7 hectares. It also provides certain facilities for the convenience of the students. Some of the facilities are 3 swimming pools, 3 air conditioned gymnasiums, 2 additional grass playing fields, canteen, theater with an accommodation capacity of 350 members, a floodlit all weather artificial playing field, an oval track and a performing arts theatre with 850 seats.

Admission to Manila International School
The admission procedure of the International School Manila includes 5 basic steps. The first step involves filling up of admission forms, submitting previous school records and presenting recommendations, if any. The 2nd step includes testing of the applicants through written examinations. However, candidates who have cleared CAT, ITBS, ERB, ISA, Stanford 9 or 10 are not subjected to such testing. There are two parts under step 3. While 3a enables the student to go through the Learning Support, ESL (English-as-a-Second Language), step 3b involves interview of the candidate by Guidance Counselor. The final admission decision is taken in step 4 by the school authorities. 1st of September is the age cut-off date for the candidates to get admission in the International School of Manila.
