The demography of Manila changed over the years for the huge percentage of infiltration that took place in the city. Large numbers of students and workers from all parts of the world came and settled in the city. This caused a sudden rise in the population of the city. The major portion of the population in Manila is concentrated in the Manila Metropolitan Area.
