The Coconut Palace was the guesthouse of the Marcos's. Imelda Marcos built the guesthouse. The guesthouse is situated in Philippines' Cultural Center. Coconut Palace of Manila overlooks the Manila Bay. Today, it is one of the Manila attractions.
Description of the Coconut Palace
Coconut Palace in Manila was built in the year 1981 for Pope's visit. This famous Manila attraction was built of coconut shells and palm wood and therefore was named as the Coconut Palace. The bathroom of the guesthouse is decorated with designer fixtures and is made of 24 carat gold. The palace is built according to the traditional Filipino hat shape, which is known as 'salakot'.
The entrance of the Manila Coconut Palace is guarded by security guards. Walking downstairs visitors are introduced to the dining room, which has an accommodation capacity of 24 people. The living rooms of the palace are constructed upstairs. There are seven living rooms and feature names of different Philippines provinces. Following are the names of the seven living rooms:

- Zamboanga room
- Marawi Room: The Muslim Mindanao is represented by the marawi room and is colored in green and purple
- Iloilo room
- Mountain province room: This room is an abode of historical artifacts, housing some of the finest collections of traditional tribal Ifugao artifacts
- Pangasinan room: This room houses the largest bathroom and was Mr Marcos's room
- Bicol room: This room overlooks the Manila Bay and was inhabited by Imelda Marcos. The room houses a beautiful hexagonal table. The table was so designed as hexagon is the favorite shape of the Marcos.
- Pampanga room: The bed sheet of this particular room deserves special mention as it is made of fiber from the banana tree or the Jusi fiber
