Adamson University, Manila was established in 1932 by Dr. George Lucas Adamson together with his cousins George Athos Adamson and Alexander Adamson. It was then known as the Adamson School of Industrial Chemistry. It received the status of a university on 5th February, 1941. The Vincentian Fathers took over the university on 4th December, 1964.
It is now a private Catholic university of Manila. This university is a member of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The Department of Theology is managed by the Vincentian priests. There are students from abroad countries too. It is one of the biggest universities of Philippines.
