Cebu City Topography features coastal plains with rugged mountains, narrow coastlines and limestone plateaus. The three major soil types of Cebu are Faraon Clay, Mandaue Silt and Baguio Clay. There is a mixture of ridges, deep canyons and valleys in Cebu.

But this becomes uneven at an elevation of 40 to 200 meters. At a height of 200 to 800 meters, the terrain becomes totally rugged and mountainous.

The various mineral resources that are found in Cebu are copper, coal, limestone, gold and coal. There are three major types of soil in the city of Cebu. These are Faraon Clay, Mandaue Silt and Baguio Clay. Faraon Clay is found in the center of the city, Mandaue Silt can be located in the coastal plains from Mandaue City to Minglanilla and Baguio Clay forms the upland areas and watersheds of Kotkot-Lusaran and Mananga.
