Cebu International School is one of the pioneer educational institutions of Philippines. This institute was established in 1924. At that time, the school was named as Cebu American School, which housed only 5 rooms. Today, this school comprises Pre School, Middle School and International Baccalaureate levels of education.
Cebu International School or CIS is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of 10 elected members. The trustees are selected from the international parent community of the school. CIS follows English as the medium of instruction. The academic session of the school runs from August to May.

Admission in CIS
Students have to appear in an entrance examination, where their understanding of language and proficiency in mathematics are judged by the examiner. Previous performance record has to be submitted by the students in the time of admission.

Students in CIS can participate in many sports and activities. Classes on following sports are provided by CIS to the students.
