Cebu City Infrastructure is quite developed that has made it the second important metropolitan center of Philippines. There are good educational institutes, communication system and health care units in Cebu that largely supports the infrastructure of Cebu City. Some of the well-known hospitals in Cebu are Visayas Community Medical Center, Cebu Doctors' University Hospital, Perpetual Succour Hospital and Chong Hua Hospital.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport is the nearest airport to Cebu. There are flights connecting Cebu with places like South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and China. There is also an important port in Cebu that functions under Cebu Port Authority. This port makes the city accessible from some of the nearby provinces and islands. The city of Cebu being centrally located serves as an important transshipment center. It functions as the base for more the 80% of inter-island vessels of Philippines. ‘Jeepneys’ supports public transportation within the city. Another means of transportation in Cebu is the metro bus system.
Leyte Geothermal Power Plant is the main source of power for the city of Cebu that is supplied through an interconnection grid. Visayas Electric Company (VECO) provides electricity to Cebu. A large number of national and international companies have come up in the Cebu Business Park and Asiatown Information Technology (IT) Park. They help in the economic development of the city thereby providing a major support to the Cebu city infrastructure.
