Cebu City Government includes mayor, councilors and vice mayor. The daily administration of Cebu City is supervised by city administrator. The mayor of Cebu City, Tomas R. Osmena, is supported by one vice mayor and 16 councilors. The 16 councilors are divided into two groups representing North and South Cebu City.
Being a chartered city, Cebu is not included in the Cebu Province. The citizens of Cebu City, being registered voters, are not entitled to vote for candidates of Cebu Province. The vision of the city government is to become financially active and responsive to the needs of its constituents.
