Lahore Stock Exchange


Lahore Stock Exchange is the largest platform of trading and capital investment in the city, which is the commercial hub of Pakistan. The LSE has expanded since its inception and has made business transactions easy for many of the companies by bringing the public and the industrial houses close to each other.

Lahore Stock Exchange is the second largest stock exchange stock exchange in Pakistan. LSE is in fact, the first ever electronic stick exchange in Pakistan. The Stock Exchange of Lahore is fast developing with an increasing number of companies getting them enrolled as a member of the LSE. A large number of investors have gathered interest in investing at the Stock Exchange in Lahore, since the exchange follows a transparent transaction method. Trading is done fairly and every move is being monitored by the exchange with the help of state of the art facilities.

Establishment of the LSE

The LSE was founded in October 1970. Since then it has shown tremendous capability and has expanded covering 519 companies under its umbrella. The total amount of capital invested here is estimated to be Rs. 555.67 billion. The market capitalization is around Rs. 3.64 trillion. It has a total of 152 members among which 54 are individual members and 81 are corporate houses. The LSE has contributed tremendously towards the development of capital markets in Pakistan.

The LSE performs a lot functions. The key functions of the LSE are:

The trading system in LSE is contemporary and effective. LSE follows four types of trading systems. These include Provisionally Listed Counters, T+3 Settlement System, Spot Transactions and Future Contracts.
