The National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) is situated in Pakistan. The University was established in 2000, with the headquarters located at Islamabad. The University was set up with the objective of promoting science and technology in Pakistan.

The Islamabad Campus of the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences of Lahore offers bachelor degree and master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication and Business Administration. There are also provisions for PhD Programs. Dr. Aftab Ahmad Maroof is the director of the campus.
The Karachi Campus offers bachelor degrees in Computer engineering, business administration, telecommunication and Computer Science. Master degrees are allotted for software project management, business administration and computer science. The Karachi campus also provides for research programs. Dr. Zubair A. Shaikh is the principal of the campus.
Dr. Arshad Hussain directs the Lahore campus of the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. It has both bachelors and master degree programs on offer.The disciplines taught over here are software project management, computer science, mathematics,telecommunications and business

administration.Dr. Amjad Hussain directs the Peshawar campus. It offers bachelors and master degree programs in the following disciplines - computer science, business administration, telecommunication engineering and mathematics.
Admission Procedure at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences
Candidates opting for BBA should have secured at least 60% marks in the matriculation or should have passed the HSSC. Eligible candidates have to sit for the NU admission test. The same procedure is applicable for Computer Engineering, Telecom Engineering and Computer Science.
Candidates opting for MBA should have at least 16 years of formal education and a degree from any recognized university with at least 60% marks. The MBA course is for two years. Eligible candidates have to sit for the NU Admission Test.
The criterion for admission into Software Project Management is a degree in Engineering or Science, with at least 65% marks. For gaining admission to Computer Science, Telecom Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, a candidate has to have relevant degree from a recognized University, with a cut off percentage of 65% marks.
Eligible candidates in all disciplines have to sit for the NU admission test. International students have different selection criteria. They must have completed 12 years of formal education, with sound knowledge in physics, chemistry, mathematics and computer science.
The fee structure at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences at Lahore is quite reasonable. Exams are held on a semester basis. The FAST NU is one of the foremost educational institutions that have computer science and engineering among its taught programs.
