Mela Chiraghan is the other great event in the city of Lahore. It is also called Mela Shalamar, which means a festival of lights. It is observed every year in the month of March for 3 days to mark the death anniversary of Shah Hussain, a great saint and Sufi poet. People from quarters of the society participate in the festival to pay homage to the great saint and artist.
