If you are driving to Amsterdam from north, you should use the Ij-Tunnet Exit for reaching the city center. That makes it fast. Coming from the east, you should use Jan van Galenstraat. You should exit at Nieuwe Utrechtseweg if you are driving in from the west or the south.
