Kiran Chetry is a popular television anchor, presently working with CNN. She has been anchoring several programs like American Morning, CNN Newsroom, Paula Zahn Now and Anderson Cooper 360º. In the year 1997, Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association presented her the Best Enterprise Reporting award for her excellent performance in the program about teen smoking "Young and Hooked".
Kiran Chetry's Life and Career
Kiran was born on 26th August 1974 in Kathmandu Nepal. She was known by the name of Kiran Carrie Chetry. She is half Nepalese, but was brought up in Gaithersburg, Maryland located in Washington, D.C. She obtained her bachelors degree in arts from the College of Journalism affiliated to the University of Maryland.Kiran's career started in 1995, as a reporter with News 21 situated in Rockville, Maryland.

She then anchored for WICU-TV, where she was acknowledged as the best reporter.She also worked with KXTV located in California. She joined the Fox News channel in 2001. and is now with CNN, since February 2007. Kiran Chetry got married to Chris Knowles, who is also working with FNC as a weather forecaster. Kiran was blessed with a girl in February 2006.
