Kathmandu to Gorkha

The distance between the capital city of Nepal and Gorkha is roughly 143 kilometers. Around 4 to 5 hours time is required to reach Gorkha from Kathmandu. Gorkha is situated in between Pokhara and Kathmandu. By boarding a public bus and taxi one can reach Gorkha. Gorkha is also considered to be a trekking paradise, so, the trained mount climbers can go from Kathmandu to Gorkha by trekking. The Prithvi Highway runs from Kathmandu to Gorkha. By following this route, one can very easily reach the picturesque town of Grokha.

Gorkha- the Historical Landmark in Nepal
Gorkha is a beautiful town on the hilltop. It is situated in the northern side of the main road (Prithvi Highway) connecting Pokhara and Kathmandu. This town of Nepal has major historical significance. Shah Dynasty started to rule from this place of Nepal. King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the renowned ruler of Shah dynasty was born here. In the 18th century this great man brought unity in the kingdom of Nepal.

Gorkha- the Picturesque Town
