National Planetarium is one of the primary attractions of Kuala Lumpur city. Both interactive and entertaining, the National Planetarium in Kuala Lumpur is a storehouse of knowledge on outer space. The science center is frequented by children and adults alike.
National Planetarium is situated on the top of the hill at the panoramic Lake Gardens. The exterior decoration comprises of a blue dome which in itself is an architectural extravaganza. The planetarium was inaugurated in 1994 and has since then become one of the most popular knowledge centers for space science studies.

Within the premises of the National Planetarium, the tourists will find the Space Science Exhibition and the Ancient Observatory Park.

This section comprise of a 14 inch long telescope. The planetarium also hosts a number of shows such as the Space Science Show and Sky Movie for children at the Space Theatre.
Timings
National Planetarium of Kuala Lumpur remains open on all days of the week, excepting Mondays. The science center remains open for public between 10 A.M and 5 P.M. The center charges an admission fee of MYR 3 for the adults and MYR 2 for children below the age of 12 years.
