KL Monorail is one of the most convenient modes of transport in Kuala Lumpur. Although expensive, it is one of the fastest means of travel in this beautiful city of Malaysian.
KL Monorail is the only monorail transit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This new form of rail transit in Kuala Lumpur was introduced in 2003. It has a 8.6-kilometer long track that connects Kuala Lumpur Sentral with the Golden Triangle. Kuala Lumpur Monorail was constructed by KL Infrastructure Group.
The construction of monorail in Kuala Lumpur was initiated by Hitachi Limited but due to the East Asian financial crisis in 1997, the project could not materialize. The project of constructing the monorail was taken over by Mtrans Holdings in 1998. After its inauguration in 2003, KL Infrastructure Group was authorized to operate the monorails in Kuala Lumpur. At present, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd operates the KL Monorail.

KL Monorail has a dual-way line that is spread across Bukit Bintang, Titiwangsa, Chow Kit, Bukit Nanas and Brickfields. It has a total of 11 stations that are spread across the northeast and southeastern parts of the city. It is noteworthy that 4 of the monorail stations are 'integrated stations'. The train depot of this network of transportation is situated between Tun Sambanthan and KL Sentral stations.
