Beirut Baptist School was founded in 1956 by Dr Finely and Jolia Graham. The school aims at the intellectual and spiritual development of the students. Various outdoor programs are also arranged for the students.
Beirut Baptist School is one of the most renowned schools of not only Beirut but also of the whole country. This school came into being in 1956. The school was owned by Baptist Near East Mission. At present it is owned by Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development. The school is located in the heart of the city. The convenient location of the school makes it a favorite with both parents as well as students.
Foundation of BBS:
Founded by Dr. Finely Graham and Jolia, his wife, Beirut Baptist School aims at providing quality education to its students. The first principal of the school was Dr. James Regland. A three-story building used to house this school at the beginning. At present the school building covers nearly 6700 sq m area.
Motto of BBS:
The intellectual as well as spiritual growth of the students is the primary mission of BBS. To broaden the mental horizon of the students is another major mission of the school. The motto of BBS is “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free”.

The Preschool:
BBS always tries to inculcate the quest for knowledge in the young students. Students of Nursery, KG1 and KG2 learn about various things through different games. Outdoor programs are also arranged for the physical development of children. They learn about the folktales through puppet shows, dance and music programs at the Puppets Theater. Emphasis is also given on group work.
At the elementary, middle and high school level, same methods are followed to make the teaching process more interesting. Courses are designed in such a way so that they improve the intelligence level of the students.
Admission Procedure of BBS:
For getting admission in BBS, a few important documents are needed such as a duly filled form, photocopy of student's ID, medical card, an attested certificate validating the passing grades of the student and marksheets. The candidates who match the given criteria are required to sit for an entrance examination and pay the entrance fee. After qualifying at the entrance exam, the students are required to come on a given date for registration. After the completion of the formalities and on paying the registration fee, the admission process comes to an end.
Beirut Baptist School has set a completely new standard of education in Beirut.
