Laos or officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic is a landlocked Southeast Asian country. It is wrapped by Burma, People's Republic of China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. It is part of the Indochinese peninsula. Laos is a mineral rich nation. Growing tourism, foreign fund, agriculture and metallurgy have formed the backbone of its economy. During Vietnam War, it was extensively bombed by the US air force. Now, Lao People's Democratic Republic is gradually moving towards stabilizing its economy.

- Vientiane: Vientiane is the capital and main city of Laos. It has many reputed architectural sites including several Buddhist sites. It is a major bastion of rice cultivation. National University of Laos is situated here. Brewery, lumber, construction materials, textiles, tobacco products, rubber footwear, and steel are some its major productions.
- Savannakhet: Savannakhet is known as the 'city of paradise'. Soft drinks units, ice units, and a sawmill are the major production centers of Savannakhet. It houses a major airport.
- Louangphrabang: Louangphrabang is a major tourism and historical centers. It is an ancient city. The Kuang Si Falls and Pak Ou Caves as well as the Haw Kham Royal Palace Museum and the Wat Xieng Thong temple are its popular tourism site.
