Tours from Nairobi to Giraffe Center

This wildlife park lies at Langata. This place is situated in close proximity to the city of Nairobi. Only 20 minutes time is enough to reach this tourist spot. Not only private cars, shuttle taxis also offer easy transportation to this Giraffe center. Blixen House, the other alluring site of Nairobi is also located near this wildlife park. By a car, a person can reach Giraffe center from Blixen House within 6 to 7 minutes time.

This entire Kenyan wildlife center extends over a land estimating approximately 120 acres. The family of Leslie-Melville took active role to set up this park. This is indeed the perfect place for nature study. A number of animal species and plant species can be seen here. Giraffes are the main attractions of this park. Beside them, there are warthogs, turtles and rabbits. On the other hand, the plant species include Croton megalocarpus, Olea africana, Albizzia gummefera, Ficus Thonningii and many more.

Explore Bomas of Kenya

Bomas of Kenya is situated at a distance of 10 kilometers from Nairobi. Forest Edge Road and Langata South Road come on the way while taking a trip to Bomas of Kenya. This place is considered to be the miniature form of the East African country of Kenya. Various types of cultural programs are held over here. On weekdays, these programs start from 2.30 p.m. and extends up to 4.00 p.m. and during the weekend, shows continues from 3.30 pm. to 5.30 pm. These programs reflect the culture of various tribes of the country.

There are several bomas or homesteads in this place. The original style of African architecture gets reflected through the construction of those homesteads.

The Picturesque Lake of Magadi

Magadi Lake runs along the southern part of Kenya. It is roughly 1,000 meters under the Kenyan city of Nairobi. Matatu, bus, car and many other mode of transportation offer easy access to this place. Trekkers can also have a wonderful time climbing up the hills of Loita. Olorgesailie road connects the surrounding area of Magadi Lake with Nairobi.

This lake covers an area of 104 square kilometers. One of the specialties of this lake is its change of color. Sometimes, the water of the lake seems to be white, while sometimes, it changes its color to indigo. This soda lake is the nestling ground of many birds. It also has a wide variety of fishes.
