The Stanley Hotel in Nairobi is the first luxury hotel set up in the city in 1902. It is located on the Kenyatta Avenue on Kimathi Street in Nairobi, Kenya. The hotel offers world-class comforts and facilities to the guests.

Owners of Stanley Hotel

Stanley Hotel is currently owned by the Sarova Group. Earlier there were three owners namely Mary Bent, Fred Tate and The Block Family. The hotel was renovated many times, the recent being in the year 1999. For 20 years the hotel was known by the name The New Stanley until recently the management decided to change the name to the original one - The Sarova Stanley.

There are 3 restaurants and 1 bar at the Stanley Hotel namely, the Thorn Tree Cafe, Pool Deck Restaurant, Thai Chi Restaurant and The Exchange Bar. Thai Chi Restaurant serves authentic and exquisite Thai dishes to the guests. It lies on the first floor of the hotel. The Thorn Tree Cafe is an open-air restaurant cafe at the entrance of the hotel. Specialized in French bakery, this restaurant offers a variety to choose from. The restaurant is open from Monday to Friday between 6.30 am and 10 am and on Saturdays and Sundays from 6.30 am to 10.30 am for breakfast. Dinner is served between 7 pm and 10.30 pm.
