Nairobi Marathon, sponsored by the Standard Chartered bank is an international event-calling people to the country from all across the world. The marathon is organized to raise money to be used for charitable purposes. This huge event is filled with excitement and enthusiasm.
“Seeing is Believing”
Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon is an event with a noble cause. With the vision of “Seeing is Believing”, the charity workers aim at curing the disease of blindness through proper measures. During the last four-year, 600 patients have undergone cataract operations at the Kikuyu Eye Hospital, which was sponsored by this event.
Nairobi Marathon Registration
To participate in the marathon, registration is a compulsory for one and all. There are on-line forms available for the people of other cities and countries. People can also register themselves by collecting forms from branches of Standard Chartered bank, Kenya Ltd. The duly filled up form along with cash deposit slip form for the category of race chosen has to be submitted to the same.

Runner Information
- The participants of Marathon Race are required to tie a champion chip that provides an accurate time taken to complete the run. This electronic chip is used only for those participating in the full and half marathon events.
- The runner pack which every runner must have, includes one race number, timing chip, runner t-shirt and a guidebook of the event. The pack must be collected a day before the event.
- Prior to the day of the Marathon, participants can acquire training if required from allocated venues.
