History of Kenyatta International Conference Center
The people of Kenya felt the need for a modern conference center to enhance business in Kenya. To achieve and fulfill the dream, this project was handed over the Norwegian architect Karl Henrik Nostvic in the year 1967. The conference center was inaugurated on 11th September 1973, by late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the president of Kenya.

- The Plenary: Largest conferencing room in Eastern Africa. Can hold up to 5000 clients.
- The Amphitheater: It has a sitting arrangement for 800 people on the three balconies of the auditorium.
- Executive Board Room: Located on the first floor, this room is equipped with exotic furnishings and best facilities to cater to the client needs. The room faces the water fountains and statue of Jomo Kenyatta.

- Room 7 and 8: Room 7 has a large theater that accommodates 150 people. Room 8 has a sound proof and climate control system.
- Courtyard: covering 700 square meters, this paved area is the ground where many events are organized for the clients.
- Equipments: Laptop, CD, LCD, Public address system, screens, language interpretation machines.
- Meeting Rooms (5 and 6): Both the rooms have a capacity of 130 and consist of mobile interpreter booths.
- Secretariats: For official uses, this room is perfect.
- COMESA grounds: Large exhibitions are held. Can park 1000 cars at a time.
