Karen Blixen Museum lies on Karen road, on the fringes of the city of Nairobi. In 1985, this museum was set up in M'Bogani House. M'Bogani House is considered to be the main building of the coffee farm of Blixen. At the Ngong Hills's foot this museum can be found. The museum has been named after Karen Blixen, who is the author of 'Out of Africa'. Her pen name was Isak Dinesen. During the period between 1913 and 1931, Karen Blixen resided in M'Bogani House with her family.
The Historical Museum of Nairobi
In 1931, after she departed, the suburbs have conserved this commemorative residence of Karan. During independence Government of Denmark donated this house to Kenya. While shooting the film Out of Africa' this place was used. In 1986, the museum was officially opened.

her husband are the main things that are displayed in this museum. Apart from this, her original kitchen has also been maintained properly. Presently, people are also allowed to see this kitchen. A Dove Stove is kept here on display. On the other hand, the old farm machinery and the coffee factory are undergoing reconstruction.
All through the week, this Nairobi museum keeps its door open for the public. From 9.30 am to 6 pm, people can visit this place.
Karen Blixen Museum's wonderful widespread ground also attracts the foreign tourists. In 1910, this house was constructed. Its roof color is red and the rooms are decorated with wood panels.
Children are charged for 100 rupees, whereas, adult visitor has to pay 200 rupees as an entry fee.
Now a days, various activities, such as parties and other gatherings are held at this venue.
