Ngong Hills
The Ngong Hills are adjacent to the Nairobi National Park. This is one of the major tourist attractions of Kenya. This forest is home to a variety of animals including buffaloes. Located close to the Great Rift Valley, the Ngong hills are inhabited by the Massai people. The Ngong Hills were previously called the Engongu Emuny.Nairobi River
The Nairobi River is important for the city, because it has multipurpose utilities of supplying drinking water, providing livelihood for the poor, as the sewerage system and the likes. There are adjoining swamp area. The river travels at an average speed of 2.5 kilometers per hour on an average and covers a distance of 5 kilometers. There are three adjoining swamp regions.
