Anthropological studies would reveal that the Japanese people belong to the Mongoloid ethnicity with distinct features of other Asian races as well. Hence they show traits of Caucasian and Malayan races as well. The Indonesians, Koreans and Chinese ethnicities also had influence on the Japanese people in terms of ethnic features.

Western People Residing in Tokyo
According to 2005 data estimation, there have been more than 50,000 people from western countries residing in Tokyo. There are around 4000 Australians, 21, 500 North Americans, 22,500 Europeans, 350 Argentinians and 1,000 New Zealanders in Tokyo.
