Nagoya , a city located in central Japan is also known as the'city of technologies'. When the city was formed about 400 years ago it was merely a castle town and now it is one of the major cities of Japan having status similar to Tokyo and Osaka.
Whole of this modern city evolved around the Nagoya castle which was built over four centuries ago. In the medieval era Nagoya was a seat of samurai activities as it was the home to many prominent samurai families. In the 21 st century this city of Japan has evolved as an ultramodern city with skyscrapers, exquisite malls and modern railway stations.

Apart from being one of the most modern cities of Japan, Nagoya is also blessed by Mother Nature. In the midst of the concrete jungle citizens find respite in the Heiwa Park and Higashiyama Park. The two rivers Yamazaki and Horikawa which flow through the city not only enhance its beauty but significantly contribute to its economy.

The city of Nagoya had a reputation of being an'Eco-capital' for their efforts to reduce pollution in every ways.

To experience the vibrant culture and tradition of Nagoya visiting the city during the time of the annual festival is recommended. Each year in the month of October the city comes to life with bustling visitors, colorful floats, wonderful music and a lively parade. Some of the places of attraction in Nagoya are Nagoya TV tower, Higashiyama Zoo and the botanical gardens. Your kids can have a gala time in the theme park based on Pokeman and the robot museum.
