The city of Funabashi in the Honshu Island falls within the Chiba prefecture. Funabashi was once a stop for the people who went for pilgrimage on Mount Narita but in 1937 five small villages and towns merged together to form this modern day city.
Its proximity to the capital of Japan is the main reason behind its steady rise both economically and population wise. The growth of the city was in line with its good communication system and around ten trains well connect the city with whole of Japan. The incredible growth of population in Funabashi has also led to the growing problems for its citizens and the city administration is in constant endeavor to improve the situation.

The places of attraction in Funabashi are Ninomiya Jinja, Kutei-kan, Gyoda Musen and Funabashi Daijingu. But it has to be mentioned here that this city does not attract tourists at a significant rate but it is being chosen by more and more people as the perfect city to settle their base.
