The Garda Síochána Museum And Archives is the museum of the national police force of the Republic of Ireland. The museum is situated at the Record Tower in Dublin Castle. The exhibits of the museum covers the history of the Garda Síochána and other information related to policing in Ireland before 1922. The Garda Síochána Museum And Archives is open for visitors from Monday to Friday between 9 am to 5 pm.. One can also arrange for a special visit during weekends by prior appointment.

The Garda Síochána Museum has a Historical Library that exhibits a collection of publications related to the police department. It even displays monthly Garda Publication from the year 1922 till the present publication. Various Departmental Records are also exhibited in the museum that deal with personnel, administration matters and criminal cases. The personnel registers of Dublin Metropolitan Police

Artifacts of Garda Síochána Museum
The Artifacts of Garda Síochána Museum exhibit photographs and documents that highlight the history of policing in Ireland during the 19th and 20th centuries. The contributions of some great people like Sir Robert Peel (1812-1818) who was the Chief Secretary in Dublin Castle and later by Mr. Thomas Drummond, the Under Secretary of Dublin Castle (1839-1840) are displayed in the museum. There are Artifacts focus on the establishment of the Irish Constabulary in 1822 which later became the Royal Irish Constabulary (R.I.C.) in 1867. It also showcases artifacts related to the establishment of the Dublin Police in 1836.
