Dublin Writers Museum

The Dublin Writers Museum is a unique museum that reflects the works and lives of some of the famous writers of Ireland. The museum is located in 18 Parnell Square of Dublin. Its aim was to promote interest in Irish literature and focus on the contributions of Ireland in the field of literary activities.

The conception of Dublin Writers Museum was proposed to Dublin Tourism by Maurice Gorham (1902 - 1975), who was a journalist and author. It took some time to arrange for the museum's buildings and funds. Finally, this museum opened in November 1991, in an eighteenth-century house accommodating the administration area, library, museum rooms and gallery.
