Persian Gulf

The Persian Gulf is the part of the Gulf of Oman that is situated in the middle of Iran and the Arabian Peninsular region. The Persian Gulf is famous for its vast fishing destinations and the beauty of the coral reef.
It is well known for the pearl oysters and the beautiful bays though the recent wars and the intrusion of oil into the sea has caused much damage to the beauty and natural life of the place.

The Persian Gulf is famous for the Iraq Iran War that is also known as the Gulf War that took place during the years 1980 to 1988. This war is also known by the name of Persian War. Initially a land conflict, the attack of Iraq over Kuwait was held responsible for the pollution of the sea and its life at the gulf of Persia. Both the opponents attacked the oil tankers of the enemy region that resulted in the spillage of oil into the sea.

The Persian Gulf is one of the major oil resources in the world. It is famous for the crude oil industry. The related industries are also one of the major sources of the economy of the place. The largest crude oil field of the world is situated in the Persian Gulf. Many natural gas industries and petrochemical industries have grown in the region based on the crude oil fields of the Persian Gulf. The states rich in oil fields which share the same coast line of the Persian Gulf are known as the Persian Gulf States.
